Healthy Lifestyle Practiced by VERY Few
August 1st, 2006
Authors Reeves and Rafferty report in the Archives of Internal Medicine (vol 165, 2005) that in their survey of 153,000 adult Americans in 2000, only 3% practice the healthy lifestyle as they defined it. That’s non-smoking, exercise 5 or more times per week, 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables per day, and a body mass index in the healthy 18.5 to 25 range. Wow. See article.
