Amanda - great job pulling multiple resources together. I appreciate the information and I know your mom is very proud of you. She is a strong woman and will win this war. Your support means a lot to her. I wish I would have stepped up when my mother was going through this and I was away at college. I will keep your mom and all of you in my prayers as well as praying for a cure. Every year I walk in the Pickerington relay for Life at North High School, the last week end of June, come join us on the Pickerington Elementary team this summer!

I have to say that when I was at the Institute I was suffering from Plantar Fasciitis and went to Dr. Al's foot seminar and his recommendation of the calf stretch has made all the difference in the world...after 2 weeks of doing it 3-4 times a day for a 30 second hold, I feel like a new person! Thanks shoe man!!!

Great question Louise! The best advice I can give for making the most out of your visit at H3I is to arrive with an open mind, a plan for success and to check your fears at the door. Participating in the Healthy Lifestyle program will provide you with an abundance of knowledge and skills to take home with you. Once you arrive at H3I, you will be surrounded with new people, new experiences and a new environment. Take advantadge of the support around you and keep focused on your success. It is all about being motivated to try new things and being mindful of the changes you are making. So with that said, the best advice I can pass on is to keep a postive outlook and stay motivated. With a desire to change, you can do anything you put your mind to!

Define "work". Short term, I would say you can lose weight. Long term, which to me is the most important, it doesn't. Just my experience anyway.
